LGBTQ+ Mental Health Counseling Program

Coming Fall/Winter 2025

The Seattle LGBTQ+ Center community-based mental health program seeks to reduce health disparities among transgender and gender diverse individuals by providing one-on-one counseling services and peer group counseling in a trusted community setting. Getting support for your mental health is important to self-determination, liberation, and joy.

This program includes:

  • 8-12 counseling sessions with a licensed mental health provider
  • Support from the Health Systems Navigator
  • Peer group sessions

Counseling
An appointed therapist will provide strengths-based, culturally responsive, and trauma-informed short-term therapy– helping participants to develop coping skills, build awareness of their body and emotional needs, and bolster internal and external resources.

Navigation
The Navigator will provide whole-person care through one-on-one support, warm referrals to partner organizations, and expert guidance on gender-affirming care, insurance navigation, legal name changes, and PrEP/HIV services.

Peer Support Group
(coming spring 2026
)
The LGBTQ+ peer support group is a space for connection, care, and collective healing. Rooted in our shared experiences as queer and trans individuals, the group offers weekly gatherings to share, learn, and be in community together.
