National Native HIV/AIDS Awareness Day Event
March 20 @ 12:00 pm - 2:30 pm
This is an annual event, put on by Urban Indian Health Institute, a division of Seattle Indian Health Board. Seattle Indian Health Board is a community health clinic that provides health and human services to its patients, while specializing in the care for Native people. We are recognized as a leader in the promotion of health improvement for urban American Indians and Alaska Natives, locally and nationally.
This year’s theme is: “Seattle Indian Health Board and HIV: Where we Were, Where we Are, Where we are Going.” The event will highlight SIHB’s HIV/AIDS work; premier a new video about stigma in Native communities; provide on-site testing for HIV/HCV; and create space for honoring the Native people we’ve lost. I’d like to extend an invitation to join us for the event.
